Ivaylo Mihaylov is a Bulgarian operatic tenor, soloist at the State opera of Plovdiv (Bulgaria).![]()
Born on August 22nd, 1973, he sings, starting 1985, within the Plovdiv's boys choir "Stefka Blagoeva", where he debuts in 1990 as a soloist.
In 1992, he graduates from the French Language School in Plovdiv. In 1997, he obtains a Bachelor degree in classical singing from the State Musical Academy "Pantcho Vladiguerov" Sofia, he is the disciple of the world-known soprano singer Valerie Popova.
In 2002, he wins a scholarship from the Ministry of the Culture of Bulgaria in the "Boris Hristov" Academy in Rome, Italy, where he studies under the supervision of Giuseppe Taddei.
He proceeds to a program at the Academy of Lyric Art in Osimo (Italy)
In 2002, he acquired a Master degree (with mention), in vocal pedagogy from the New Bulgarian University, Sofia (Bulgaria), and graduated from the prof. Rusko Ruskov's course group.
From 2005 until 2008 he was the vocal pedagogue of the Plovdiv's boys choir "Stefka Blagoeva".
Globally, he has had worked as a soloist in the most of the Bulgarian opera theaters.
On his credit, he has a gold award from the "Coast of Hope" contest in Dobritch (Bulgaria) - 1999 and gold prize cup from the spring festival in Pyongyang North Korea in 2004..
He is fluent in French, Italian, English and Russian.
Ivaylo Mihaylov is a disciple of the eminent Bulgarian tenor Kaludi Kaludov.
